In the afternoon of March 19, Russian troops once more shelled the western part of Chernihiv, states Chernihiv Oblast Military Administration.
“The shelling caused 3 fires at infrastructure facilities, namely at a fuel depot, plastics engineering factory, and warehouse. As a result of shells hitting residential buildings, fires broke out at 10 addresses,” - the statement reads.
Emergency crews worked to eliminate fires and rescue people with 42 personnel and 9 units of equipment involved.
Also, during the day Chernihiv residents observed a huge column of smoke rising from behind the train station.
